Life has been very, very busy at Honda North in Butler!  We expected things to slow down a bit during the winter months, but here we are with Spring right around the corner and we seem to be saying once again... "where did the time go"?  As we approach March we look back at the winter months and our busy 2010 with a great deal of pride.  We finished 2010 as our biggest year ever and have started out 2011 with guns blazing.  Both January and February of 2011 brought us great honors from our hard work in 2010.  In January, The District Manager of American Honda hosted a luncheon for our entire dealership in recognition of being the #1 HONDA CERTIFIED USED VEHICLE DEALER IN WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA!  This is a wonderful accomplishment for us and all of our employees are extremely excited!  In February, he called to let us know that we, once again, had won HONDA PRESIDENT'S AWARD FOR THE 4TH YEAR!  As you may have heard us mention in the past, this is the highest award that can be bestowed upon a Honda dealer.  Only the top 15% of all Honda dealers in the Nation are considered for the award, HONDA NORTH FINISHED IN THE TOP .01% OF ALL HONDA DEALERS IN THE NATION FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION WITH A PERFECT 100%!!!  This, in a nutshell, is everything that we hope to achieve as we come to work on a daily basis.  We take care of our customers and make them happy, period.  That's what it's all about.  Once again, from all of us here at Honda North in Butler, Pa., THANK YOU for doing business with us, for coming back to see us, and for sending your friends and family members.  We truly, truly appreciate it!

Things have been extremely busy here over the last several months and we are pleased to have developed an additional 3 acres of land right beside our existing 5 acres.  We purchased this land with plans for future expansion; we just didn’t realize that it would be needed within 6 months of being in our new dealership!  Our inventories have grown considerably and we continue to sell at an impressive rate.  We have thanked you in the past for your consideration and you patronage, but would really like to express to you how grateful we are for how warmly you have received us.  We would not be here without you and we love serving you and making you smile.  Thank you! Friends and customers.  We cannot thank you enough for your warm reception of the new Honda North in Butler, Pa.  As we've mentioned in the past, we moved into our new home on May 1st, 2010 and business has been remarkable since.  Our first month in, we sold 100 used cars for the first time ever in 1 month and new car business has been fantastic as well.  In July we set a new milestone selling both 100 new cars and 100 used cars in 1 month, all while still maintaining the standards of a Honda President's Award dealer with 99%+ Customer Satisfaction (we're working on the additional 1%).  August is pacing to be yet another record breaker with over 100 vehicles sold in the middle of the month.

We are so pleased to be settled in and getting back to business as usual here at Honda North.  It has been a busy and spectacular last month with our move behind us and gaining control of our newer, larger, more able ship.  It was a huge effort by all in relocating and organizing our new place.  Honda North owners and managers would like to thank all of our employees for their fantastic efforts. 
Since our move in May 1st, we have had several significant happenings.  We enjoyed our Grand Opening Sale Event in the latter part of May, as well as our Ribbon Cutting performed by the Butler County Chamber of Commerce, and our formal Grand Opening Reception.  The reception was fabulous with a great band, as well as finger foods and cocktails.

People have been asking us for weeks... "How are you going to move all of those cars?". It's quite simple really, you grab a couple of vans and as many drivers as you can and make a few dozen trips.

Final details are being wrapped up and cleaning of the new mothership is beginning to take place.  This is one of the most upscale, finest dealerships that you will visit in the greater Pittsburgh area. Ladies and gentlemen, we are coming into the home stretch of this amazing project and all final details will be buttoned up over the next 3 weeks.  This new dealership is turning out phenomenally and will be the largest, most state of the art new Honda facility in the Pittsburgh Region and further.  Recent accomplishments have been:  All drywall hanging and painting, HVAC system completion, all drop ceiling and lighting installed, security system and camera installation, all exterior finishes completed or near completion, pouring of concrete display pads, final glass/ window/ door installation, and more.  Final details to be addressed in the next 2 weeks or so will be:  Main brand signage being moved/ installed, finishing layer of asphalt/ tar and chip/ line painting/ decorative concrete bases, car wash installation, final touches on Speed Shop Accessory Display Area/ Children's Play Area/ Customer Lounge, flooring completion, and entire dealership landscaping.   I would like to thank all of our local contractors, primarily out of the Butler, Cranberry, and North Pittsburgh areas, as well as Meadville, Saegertown, and Conneaut Lake, Pa, for their professionalism during this project.

During and after all this is completed comes the minor detail of physically moving an entire car dealership and all of its contents.  Some items will be easier than others.  Picking up a PC and a desk blotter, not that bad.  Picking up and moving an alignment rack capable of holding a 8000 lb. vehicle, as well as air compressors, brake machines, and an entire Parts Department with over 20,000 parts, not quite as easy.  We're particularly looking forward to this week or two of total chaos, while needing to sell and service cars in the meantime.  I can only hope for the "activity breeds activity" assumption and that many will come to check out our new home.  The timing of this whole project could not be better for many reasons.  Automobile sales for Honda and Used Vehicles are very strong and we have had many instances of being at capacity in our existing facility, which is only 6 years old.  We have outgrown our Service and Parts facilities as well and welcome the new 16 stall Service Center and increased Parts Department space to better service our customers.  Accompanied with higher volume of Sales and Service is the need for more people and more space.  Volume has fluctuated considerably over the past year of very interesting times, but overall we continue to grow at a controlled rate.  New Vehicle Sales this year should top 1000 and Used Vehicle Sales over 700.
