We have been waiting for some time for the all new Pilot to roll off of the truck, and when it did, it did so with fantastic grace and elegance. The 2009 Pilot is all new from head to toe, and what an amazing job the folks at Honda have done with this new vehicle. The first new Pilot that I had the pleasure of driving was the "top of the line" all new Touring 4x4 model with Navigation and Rear Entertainment System DVD. This top dog now puts Honda in the luxury SUV market in a way that we have not been in before. This vehicle has tasteful amenities never before offered on a Honda Pilot....This new Touring model comes equipped with heated leather seats with memory driver's seat, automatic headlamps, power glass moon roof, 6 CD premium audio with 512 watts of pure listening pleasure, and Voice Activated controls that will practically control every command in the tech-filled upper center console. This model's Voice Activations will allow you to: (ready?) Ask the vehicle what time it is, tell it to call home, tell it to take you home, simply say "climate control, 70 degrees, play CD 2 track 4, play Auxiliary track 125", and so on and so on..... This vehicle is truly amazing, and I haven't even mentioned one thing about the RIDE yet! The Auxiliary, incidentally, is everything and more that you have been asking for when it come to personal audio. It goes beyond allowing you plug in you iPod or MP3 device, it also has a USB cable that enables you to drag whatever songs you want off of your computer on to a USB Flash key and plug right into the inside of your center console! The Navi screen will even list the songs and the artists.Other such fantastic amenities include dual and rear zone climate controls, power tailgate, rear back up sensors/ sonar + back up camera in the navi screen, fold flat 3rd row seating, one of the best nav systems in the industry, all in a vehicle that is longer, wider and gets better fuel economy that the previous model.
The ride!!! I cannot say enough about the ride of this 2009 Pilot! It glides with a demeanor that I have not experienced in an SUV before. It's tight yet plush, smooth yet powerful. I trust completely that you will be extremely impressed with this all new machine.
